Coaster Privacy Policy

Coaster ("we") makes the Coaster app, a guide to bars and drink specials in New York City for people 21 and older. This policy explains what we collect and why. Contact: hello@joincoaster.app.
What we collect

Location: if you tap Near me, your iPhone shares your location with the app so it can sort bars by distance. It stays on your phone. We don't send it to our servers or store it.
We don't sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites.
The waitlist
If you join the waitlist at joincoaster.app, we store the email you give us, the date you signed up, and whether a friend's link brought you. It's kept with our web host, Hostinger, and isn't shared with anyone else. We use it only to send your invite and launch news. We don't sell or share it. To be removed, email hello@joincoaster.app and we'll delete it within 30 days.
Where it's stored
Account and community data is stored with our database provider, Supabase, in the United States. Emails are sent through our email provider. Maps are provided by Apple (MapKit), and Apple's privacy policy covers map usage. Push notifications are delivered by Apple.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account. Reports may be kept up to 90 days after they're resolved.
Deleting your data
Open the app, tap your initials (top right) > Delete account. This permanently deletes your account, ratings, notes, specials, checks, game progress, push tokens and blocks, and revokes Sign in with Apple. You can also email hello@joincoaster.app and we'll do it for you within 30 days.
Age
Coaster is only for people 21 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 21. If you think someone under 21 has an account, email us and we'll delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data. Email hello@joincoaster.app.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for big changes, tell you in the app.
